Aromatherapy Essential Oil Kit - Headache Relief Oil

Wednesday, January 16th, 2008

By KG Stiles Whether you use aromatherapy as a stand alone or as a complementary first aid treatment there are several aromatic oils I’d like to recommend you have in your aromatic first aid kit. My recommendations include important details for you to consider when purchasing an oil, such as its Latin Name, Country of Origin, Method of Extraction and Part of the Plant Used. I also list the best oils to consider when creating a synergistic blend. PEPPERMINT ( Mentha piperita ) - Certified Organic, Steam Distilled Leaf, England and USA have wonderful distillations. Peppermint is a fluid, colorless oil with a fresh, distinctly penetrating scent. Keywords: COOL & REFRESHING - Peppermint acts as a regulator and has a relaxing or invigorating effect depending on the circumstance for which you are using it. A good blood cleanser it is both antiseptic and antibacterial! Peppermint is well known for relieving migraine type headache, as well as headache resulting from weak or poor digestive forces, congestion or sluggish circulation. It is also known to relieve nausea from motion sickness. As well as being helpful for treating acne, swollen gums, mouth thrush, or ulcers and toothache. Soak your tired feet in a foot bath with a drop or two of Peppermint (disperse oil in water by blending first with a teaspoon of honey or jojoba oil before adding to your foot bath) to relieve tired, swollen ankles and feet. Peppermint relieves congested sinus cavities, aids concentration and is good for memory retention, restorative for mental fatigue, use alone or in a blend when studying for an exam. Known to clears brain fog when fatigued Peppermint is great for keeping alert! An analgesic or pain reliever use Peppermint for relieving tummy aches, or sore, achy muscles and joints. May be used to ease a variety of skin irritations, including Poison Oak and Poison Ivy. Add a drop or two to your favorite anti-itch lotion or ointment when treating insect bites and stings. Use as a food flavoring in recipes that call for mint, or add a drop to your favorite cooling summer drink and enjoy a refreshing break in your day! Try a synergistic blend of Peppermint with any of the following aromatic oils: Basil, Black Pepper, Ginger, Orange, Marjoram and Rosemary. CAUTION: Although excellent for nausea, peppermint should be avoided during pregnancy due to its stimulating properties. Peppermint cools by constricting your blood capillaries therefore please use in extremely weak dilutions. Peppermint Oil may aggravate GERD (gastro esophageal reflux disease), a type of heart burn. Please join me for my next article in this series to learn about the next essential oil I recommend you have in your Aromatherapy Essential Oil Kit - Anti-fungal and Anti-bacterial Oil. Properly administered essential oils are a natural, safe and effective way to enhance your health and well-being and can produce satisfying results where other methods have failed. Read on for how one bride created the nautical wedding of her dreams. Start off by sending save the date and invitations that have a nautical look and feel. Sailboats, shells, lighthouse - whatever evokes the feeling of being at the ocean. You can hold your nautical wedding in a country club, dockside, or around a crystal blue lake. A beautiful red, white, and blue color scheme makes it easy for you to start off the planning of your wedding. No frilly white dress for you - you’re a practical sort of woman. One who wants to be able to move and enjoy her wedding day. A classic empire waist wedding gown sets the tone for your elegant nautical wedding. Your beautiful A-Line cut dress with pearls and Swarovski crystals spread across the bustline accents your athletic curves. After all, you’re in fantastic shape from sailing and spending long days on the water. Your light summer tan provides you with a beautiful base and you glow throughout the day naturally. Accent your wedding dress with an elegant, yet simple classic pearl and Swarovski Crystal bridal jewelry set. Your bridesmaids look positively radiant in the shimmering dresses you’ve selected - the exact blue of the sea that you love so well. To finish off your bridal party’s gorgeous look, select jewelry for bridesmaids in blue crystal These bridesmaid necklace sets make a great thank you gift for the support and help they’ve provided you in getting your day pulled together. Your guests are having the time of their life drinking Blue Hawaiian Cocktails and nibbling on crab cakes with fruit and cheese appetizers while waiting to enter the ballroom. Your carefully selected music sets the mood for relaxing and having a good time. Think Beach Boys, Jimmy Buffet, and throw in some Bob Marley for a reggae beat your guests are sure to move to. Your red, white and blue theme looks absolutely stunning to your guests as they enter the room designated for dinner. Each table has red, white, and blue tablecloths with alternating red, white, and blue napkins on top. Your guests are treated to a great nautical candle wedding favor at each place setting. Your gift table also carries the red, white, and blue nautical look with your white wedding card holder sitting majestically in the center. Your stunning wedding cake has red roses cascading from the top down to the bottom layer. The food you serve should remind guests of a trip to the beach. A great shrimp pasta dish is the perfect main course but be sure to offer a chicken pasta dish for your guests that don’t eat seafood. If you prefer a buffet, the meal will be even easier. Think carving roasts and turkey breasts with various cold salads. Sprinkle seashells throughout the buffet table. After dinner, kick off your heels and head to the dance floor. Your guests are sure to quickly follow since the music you selected makes you want to get up and dance. If you’re holding your reception outdoors, this is the perfect time to launch red, white, and blue balloons to get the party rolling. Now head off to that tropical beach for your honeymoon in delicious lingerie sure to bring a smile to your husband’s face. Enjoy your honeymoon because you’ve certainly earned it! A Piscatorial Project

Thursday, January 10th, 2008

By Stephen Sheppard You know when you set off on a fishing trip with your super latest technology rod and your shiny automatic reel with lots of flashing lights and alarm bells do you ever give a thought to how our tackle evolved? Well heres a thought provoking story, many centuries ago angling was not a sport but a means of putting food on the table man with his ingenuity devised many methods of catching the elusive creatures but one idea a crude drum of wood mounted on a pin spiked to a stem of willow or hazel was the cutting edge of technology. Then around 1750 /1770 in England records began of the Nottingham centre pin reel one of the first reels to be mass-produced they were made in large quantities and shipped all over the world Nottinghams turn up in auctions and fairs even today. The Nottingham was a free running reel at that time but individual craftsmen seeing an opportunity as angling slowly evolved into a sport particularly with the upper classes, began to look at more sophisticated designs. Materials were limited machine screws and high tensile springs were yet to be invented, however journeymen, skilled craftsmen plied their trades up and down the country, basket weavers, leather workers, wheelwrights, cabinetmakers, so specialist materials were available in small amounts. The Royal Navy was sailing and opening trade routes all over the free world so more exotic timbers, mahogany, rosewood, bamboo, would have been about in small quantities the craftsmen were quick to utilise whatever they could. It is well documented that individual reels were produced using exotic timbers and innovative ideas but they were individual, not mass-produced and because of that their details are sparse, and as they have been discarded or lost with the passing of centuries we can now only imagine their intricacies. These reels would have been multi purpose for coarse and game the concept of individual reels for specific purposes had not at that time become the fashion. Being a craftsman with a keen interest in angling history I set out to create using traditional practises and without the aid of screws and springs a serviceable reel with an effective drag / brake system. The reel I produced has a timber back plate and a one piece brass foot for attachment to the rod, the drum revolves on a brass shaft with a floating brass sleeve fore runner of the ball race the brake operates through a circle of brass pegs set in the back of the reel drum these contact a lever pivoted through the back plate and connected to a spliced reed of bamboo giving a crisp ratchet action. I designed the reel to come apart easily for cleaning and lubrication the running gear is replaceable, unlike the reels of today, the only way to get into them is with a ten-pound lump hammer. It takes over thirty handcrafted pieces to complete the reel a little heart and soul goes into each one the bamboo ratchet brake reel is a truly unique piece of kit and can be seen on my website.I am sure a gentleman angler all those centuries ago would have been proud to own such a reel and to show his piece of cutting edge technology to all his friends as we do today, this is a no excuse serious attempt to reflect the look and feel of an important period in tackle development, but appeal to the discerning angler of today. A true celebration of the reel makers art. Steve www.anglersgifts.co.uk An individual artist / craftsman creating unique pieces reflecting traditional angling artefacts for the discerning angler. Conversation Starters And Other Conversation Tips

Tuesday, January 8th, 2008

By Dave Thomas Conversation is a skill that takes practise to develop, and experts in the art of conversation make you feel right at home with them straight away! Starting a conversation is the most difficult part of the game; once the conversation has been started past a few sentences, it’s usually relatively easy to keep it flowing. What you are looking to achieve when you practise your conversation skills is to get the conversation to flow, without awkward pauses, and to make it about light topics. If you can manage that, and be actively interested in the conversation, then you’ll do fine! If you’re reading this article, the chances are good that you’re not that great at conversation. You’ve probably had plenty of situations where you’re trying to think of something to say, and an awkward pause rears its ugly head! Hopefully this article will help steer you onto the right path towards becoming a conversation expert! For conversation starters, you should ideally be looking for a topic that would engage the interest of the person with whom you will be speaking. For example, could you compliment them on their clothing or appearance? Are they carrying anything unusual? If you can’t think of anything, maybe you could ask them for their opinion about some topic, such as which bottle of wine you should buy to complement a meal? A quick guide to making the conversation flow successfully follows. Closed questions are questions for which a one-word answer will suffice, such as “Yes” or “No.” “Do you live close by?” is an example of such a question. The trouble with these questions is that if the person you are talking to responds with a short answer like “Yes,” there is nothing to latch on to that will allow you to develop the conversation further. It’s best to avoid asking this type of question. If you are asked a closed question, you can help the conversation to flow by giving further details in your reply, and by asking a question in return. For example, a possible reply to “Do you live close by?” would be “Yes, I live about a quarter of a mile away, in the new housing estate. What do you think of the area?” The question included in the answer given above is an example of an open question. Open questions are questions that require an answer with greater depth, such as, “I’m hosting a dinner party tonight. What wine would you recommend, and why?” The answer will give you more time and more information to allow you to move the conversation forward. Try to ask more of this sort of question and you will improve your conversation skills by leaps and bounds! It’s definitely worth asking questions about the person you are talking to, especially if you can notice details about them while doing so. For example, you could ask about the coat they are wearing. When they tell you where they got it, you could ask them what they like about that store, and what other stores they like to frequent! If you find they have a favourite subject, such as fashion, ask them lots of questions about that subject. People love to talk about themselves, so if you give them a chance, you can do plenty of listening and still come across as a great conversationalist! This is where you can start to really excel at the art of conversation. You should also pay attention to your body language, making sure it is open and relaxed; leaning forward slightly, open arms and legs are in; leaning back with crossed arms and legs are definitely out! Also, be animated while you are talking. Moving your arms helps to illustrate points that you are making, and listening to someone speaking in a voice that naturally rises and falls in pitch is far more interesting than listening to somebody speaking in a monotone! Try to catch their name, and use it every now and again. Three times or so in a first conversation would be good. Make sure you don’t sound patronising, though. You’re looking to remember their name if possible; you will score highly if you can do this well; and also, people love hearing their name! There are certain subjects you should avoid if you are meeting someone for the first time, and want to move things forward. These are any subject that could be potentially explosive, such as religious views and politics. Try also not to bring the news into the conversation, except for light-hearted “dead donkey” pieces. Talking about someone who was murdered on the high street probably won’t get you invited to dinner very quickly! The vital thing that you must do to improve your conversation skills is to practise talking and listening to people! Practise wherever and whenever you can. Practise at parties, at the local bar, at the supermarket and on the high street. You will also improve your confidence. In fact, go and do some practising the very next opportunity you get! There’s no time like the present to improve your conversation skills. David Thomas is a web publisher with a wide range of interests, including psychology and dating. Reiki Music

Tuesday, January 8th, 2008

By Eric Hartwell The therapeutic effects of music have been a well known fact throughout ages. The Bards famous words were, If music be the food of love, play on and these immortal words ring true for what is Reiki if not love? A Reiki healer does much more than merely transferring energy, a Reiki healer transfers living energy that is healing, loving and compassionate to someone in need. Music has been used throughout centuries for meditation and ritualistic purposes and music finds its expression in chants, devotional songs, hymns and invocations throughout various cultures and traditions. In the Vedic traditions, the sound of Aum was said to be the primordial sound of the Universe and an invitation to the Gods. It was the only sound that existed before everything else did and is the only sound in the vast emptiness of space, within and without us. Even in the western world, no pantheon would be complete without a God dedicated for music and it is interesting to note that the Gods corresponding to music were also associated with healing and also light, for example: Lugh from the Celtic pantheon and Apollo from the Greek pantheon. This goes to say that music can bring about healing and also light, this light is the Divine light channeled by Reiki. Music therapy when combined with Reiki can be a powerful healing mechanism. While Reiki can be an attunement to divine energies, music can create the correct atmosphere and increase the vibrational effect of the received energies in order to greatly amplify the healing effects. Sound reaches the ear and as the ear receives the different frequencies of the sound, they stimulate the a nerve that runs right through the middle of the brain that is again distributed throughout all the neural cells that process the sound and promote the associative and cognitive powers of the brain to release latent joyous and creative energies, loosen up, soothe tiredness and induce a feeling of wellbeing and peace. Music is also commonly used to soothe and stimulate the chakras and the sounds are used to heal pre-existing energy patterns that are residing within the chakras that vibrate on a certain frequency and are different for each chakra. Using Reiki music for healing chakras through specially tuned frequencies that vibrate on a certain frequencies could work wonders for balancing any imbalances in the chakras. Reiki music is specially made with high and low tones made to alternate constantly that triggers a stimulus which aids in the therapy. Similarly all the symbols of Reiki are also said to vibrate on a certain frequency which can be reached out to by the different notes of the music specially prepared for this purpose. Reiki music has been found to be greatly effective for practicing GIM or Guided Imagery Meditation in which certain musical notes are used to attune the mind on a certain frequency which encourages the emotional flow and this further results in the self merging with the Higher Self being carried by the music and this healing music is slow, repetitive, and is like a gently chanted soothing mantra. In the medical world of psychology it is called the Helen Bonny method of GIM. In modern times there are various choices in new-age music you can find easily. Music is a respite from our hectic lives and serves to soothe us and calm our inner senses and restore balance and harmony. If you seek some solace pick up a piece of Reiki music today. The Frugal Gardener

Monday, January 7th, 2008

By Rachel Paxton Gardening can be expensive. When you’re on a tight budget, garden projects seem to fall way to the bottom of your list of spending priorities. I love the outdoors. And I love spending time at home in our yard. We’ve never been able to spend the kind of money I’d like to for landscaping, but over the years we’ve found some ways to make a little bit of money go quite far. Shop end-of-season sales. It’s easy to remember to do this when shopping for clothes and other household items, but I forget the same goes for plants. You can get a great deal on outdoor plants and trees shopping at the end of the season. Even annuals that are almost out of season are a good buy. They won’t bloom again until next year, but for the savings you’re getting it’s worth it to plant them now and wait until next year to enjoy them. You can also get a great deal on fruit trees at the end of the season. Don’t forget to check out the sidewalks of grocery stores and neighborhood markets. They mark down the prices of plants significantly at the end of the season. Divide and transplant. It doesn’t take long for plants to start to take over your flower beds. I grow some herbs and daisies that seem to creep inches through the flower bed each week. Instead of letting plants like these take over the flower bed, transplant them to another part of the yard. Flowers like daisies are easy to dig out in big clumps and move around wherever you want them. In several years time, the investment of a few dozen flowers or flower bulbs can multiply into many times the amount you recently purchased. Give and receive. It’s fun to trade plants with friends and family. I’ve landscaped much of my yard this way. Iris bulbs from one friend, grape vines from another, it adds up fast! And all from people who were looking to get the excess plants out of their yard. After your yard has had a few years to get established, you will be able to share also. This is the best way to plant your yard with no expense at all. Look for unexpected opportunities. One of our neighbors gets free sod from several local curb companies. After a job, they just unload the sod at his house. When he doesn’t have a need for the sod, he gives it to us free of charge. We’ve put down several hundred dollars worth of sod at no cost to us. Creative container gardening. I like to plant in containers a lot, but planters can be so expensive. Get creative about your garden containers. People use wheel barrows, tool boxes, kitchen sifters, colanders, old boots, children’s wagons, baskets, and many other things for creative container gardening. Just make sure there is adequate drainage so the water can find its way out. See http://www.gardenguides.com for more container gardening ideas. Weigh the alternatives. It’s easy to get carried away in the vegetable garden. I get all caught up in having a little of this, and a little of that, often spending more than I had intended to and growing vegetables that cost next to nothing at the grocery store when they’re in season. For example, green peppers in season you can get for 4 or more for $1. That’s maybe not worth it to me to grow them. Tomatoes, on the other hand, are definitely worth the effort and will save us a lot of money throughout the summer. You don’t have to have a lot of money to have a nice garden. You just have to be creative and look for opportunities. Make the decision that you will only spend what you can afford, and you will still end up with a beautiful yard you can be proud of. Online Relationships - The Art Of Misperception

Friday, January 4th, 2008

By Alisa Chagnon Is real love possible to attain via computer? There are many factors that come into play when two people fall in love. Some cannot be described in a definitive way; such as chemical attraction. Other factors are qualities that we find in another person that compliment our desires of a perfect mate. Honesty, integrity, loyalty, caring, a fun loving personality and good morals are just a few of these qualities. Many woman and men alike, have fallen in love over the internet. They have done so, without the possibility of truly seeing any of these qualities in the other person. So before we put our hearts on the line, we must ask ourselves; is it truly possible to love someone via computer? The majority of people who believe they have discovered true love without actually meeting the other person, have done so by implementing a type of instant messenger or video conferencing. We will focus on this element, as the element of a webcam can be misleading. When two people find each other and begin to chat online, one of two things happens. Either they do not feel a connection or they do. If a connection is felt, this can quickly escalate into chatting every day. They believe they have discovered the excitement that one feels when meeting someone new. However, they have not really met, have they? It is a fact that many people are lonely. This is not new to us, many single people are busy with work, single moms are busy with their children and it can be very daunting and difficult to find a meaningful relationship in the real world. With personal computers in the majority of every household, many people turn to this internet environment when they are lonely and wish for someone to talk to. It is important to realize that the world inside a computer is not, and never can be, the real world. When craving acceptance, love, caring, attention and a relationship, one can easily be led astray into the art of misperception. Often, this misperception is not done on purpose. Both people involved in the online relationship do not even realize this is happening. The truth of the matter is this: the key elements of a true and loving relationship cannot materialize through a computer. You may wish for them, daydream of them and tell yourself they exist, but they do not. Starting with physical and chemical attraction: a person may feel they are attracted to the image on a webcam but this in no way is the actual person that exists. Anyone who owns a webcam surely understands that it is very easy to show yourself in a good light via cam. If you feel that you are completely attracted to the other person, ask yourself this: Do you entirely show your true self on your cam? Webcams are an image of you, a moving image and very far from what you are perceived as in person. If you are attracted to someone via cam, ask yourself, have you stood close to him or her and taken in the presence of his or her body? Do you love the fragrance of their cologne/ perfume? Do you love the feel of their kisses? When they hug you, is it done strongly or softy? Do you love those hugs? When you touch their hair, do you admire the feel of it? The smell of it? The answer, of course is no. You have no idea what this person is like in person nor how you feel physically and emotionally when touching them. Qualities such as honesty, loyalty, integrity, caring and general overall mood are extremely important to a strong and loving relationship. If a person possesses these qualities, it can then free you to respect the person and set a ground for trust and a feeling of safety. Someone who is in love online, may debate that they have seen these qualities already. To this, I ask; Are you there in the house when they get home from work and see what they do with all of their spare time? Are you witness to their work ethics? Do you sit around a table with their family and see the loving interaction? Have you gotten in an argument and have seen if the other person stays to talk or walks out the door in anger? Have you stood by them when they hear some unpleasant news and are witness to how they react? Have you greeted them at the end of a long day, a day that tested their nerves, and then received a hug? Did you cook and then burn dinner and they told you it does not matter, they love you for trying? Did you forget to run an important errand that you promised you would, and they told you not to worry? The list is endless. The conclusion is that there is no possible way to know of how this person will interact in a relationship without physically being with them. Love can be confusing. Craving a relationship or marriage can send people in a blindness that prevents them from understanding the misperception that occurs online. Again, this misperception does not need be by intention. The mere fact that there is no actual in person interface is what causes this misperception to arise in the first place. A person can be intrigued, in lust, in like, or in a false reality of love when online with another. Only in spending quality time face-to-face, will the true colors of the other surface. It is at that time, that one should decide if they are in love. Written by Alisa Chagnon, webmaster of http://www.lovebulletin.com . Love Bulletin is a free and complete women’s online magazine. Unsecured Business Loans - Paving Way to a Secure Business

Friday, January 4th, 2008

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=John_Carry]John Carry Need a loan for your business? Dont have sufficient collateral? You have a respite in the form of unsecured business loans. Unsecured business loans do not require collateral to be put forth against the loan amount. So, the biggest advantage you get by applying for unsecured business loans is that there is no risk to your property or material assets. The paper and the documentation work is also less in case of unsecured business loans. It will assure you in getting a faster loan. This unsecured business loan package is ranged from 5000 to 10,000 pounds where the borrowed amount decides the repayment period which generally is between 3-2 years. Feel safer by asking for the unsecured business loans which are offered at different interest rates in various online marketing websites. Unsecured business loans are also offered to the people with a bad credit score, however the interest rates in this case is a little higher than those of secured business loans, as there is an absence of any collateral. But due to the cut throat competition amongst the various lenders, a competitive interest rate can be achieved. All you need to do is a little bit of market research in such matters. It is good to find loans that are easy to repay. You should be sure about your credit score while applying for an unsecured business loan as the credit score is the only motivating force for the lender to give his money to you. Most of the lenders offer you a longer term of repayment which is a profitable proposition as well. Will it be AdultFriendFinder or Match? 10 Tips for Finding the Best Online Dating Site for You

Thursday, January 3rd, 2008

By Jennifer L. Hunt Question: What could Match.com, eHarmony, and AdultFriendFinder possibly have in common and why do you care? Answer: They are all online dating sites designed with a very specific objective and person in mind. Fact is, an amazing number of people sign up to the wrong dating site and wonder why it doesn’t work for them… So, if you are looking for a serious relationship, don’t you think it would be a mistake to join AdultFriendFinder? Yes, it may be fun to look around and flirt, etc., but are you really being honest with yourself and with the other members of that site? eHarmony is intended for people looking for a long-term, serious relationship, A.K.A. “looking for marriage”. AdultFriendFinder is intended for people looking for a casual, and in most cases, a sexual relationship, A.K.A. “not looking for marriage”. Match.com falls somewhere in between, focusing on casual dating that may potentially turn into a long term relationship. There are literally hundreds, even thousands, of dating sites to choose from. How do you know which ones are right for you? As you begin your search for the best online dating site, you will probably be surprised by the number of options. Online dating services are popping up daily on the internet, making the decision of choosing the “right” service a bit overwhelming. It’s well worth the extra time to find 2 or 3 dating sites that fit your personality and offer the services that you’re looking for. Narrow down the list of potential online dating sites to your top 3 and then compare them to determine the pros and cons of each one. Pay particular attention to the monthly cost and features offered by each dating site. While more and more ‘free’ dating sites are becoming available, most sites differentiate between free and paid memberships. In general, most dating sites will let you upload your profile and a few photos, and search through their database of profiles for free (but they may not let you see all of the details). You will most likely have to pay for any additional features. Once you’ve chosen a few, sign up for each of them. It only takes a little extra time and you’re sure to meet different people on each of the different sites. Here are some excellent tips for finding a service that will best match your needs: Establish a budget. Decide how much money you want to spend, and set a budget. Most online dating websites charge a recurring monthly fee, but there are a few that have a one-time membership fee, and even fewer totally free sites. Determine up front how much you want to spend so that you can narrow your choices and avoid sites that don’t fit in your budget.Ask for references. Talk to friends and family to see if they or anyone they know has had a good experience with a particular online dating website. If you don’t know anyone, you can always check out an online dating guide. Just go to your favorite search engine and type in “online dating guide”. You’ll get plenty to choose from.Try to choose an online dating service that has been around for a couple of years. The best way to find out how long a website has been around is to go to the website’s “About Us” page where you will learn not only the date the site was started but also the company’s philosophy. Another good source of information is the FAQ, or frequently asked questions page on the website.Do your research. Take the time to check your favorite search engines for popular dating sites. Try searching terms like “online dating”, “meet someone online”, or “online personals” to generate lists of potential online sites for you.Consider specialized or niche sites. Think about any special interests or unique situations that might require a more specialized online dating website. If you are interesting in something specific like Single Parents, Christian Dating, Jewish Dating, Senior Dating, Gay Dating, or Adult Dating, make sure you include those terms in your search (see #4 above).Determine the pros and cons of your top picks. Narrow down the list of potential online sites to your top three and compare them to determine pros and cons of each one. Compare them buy cost and features that are interesting to you such as live chat, online video, and number of members on the site.Sign up to multiple dating sites. Don’t be afraid to sign-up for multiple websites or change services if you are not satisfied. The goal is to meet new people online and enjoy the process. If a particular site is not meeting your needs, move on before you invest more of your money on a service that isn’t right for you.For safety and convenience, look for online dating services that offer onsite messaging and email services. This will allow you to communicate with people using a special email provided by the dating service instead of using your personal email or IM (instant message). You should stay anonymous, at least at first. You wouldn’t walk into a bar with a name and address tag around your neck, would you? It is important, however, to use a valid email address when signing up for your account. Most dating sites give you the option to receive email notification of replies to your personal ad, and some even forward the reply right to your email box. You won’t want to miss these emails! I suggest that you use a free email account, such as Yahoo Mail or Hotmail , to reduce the possibility of spam. Just remember to check your new mailbox!Make sure the dating service offers secure payment methods. Also, look at the type of payments accepted (credit card, check, money order, PayPal, etc.) to ensure the options work for you.Look for websites that offer free trials. Look for an online dating service that will allow you to browse profiles and photos before you join, or a service that offers a free trial period so you can talk to people that you are interested in meeting before you have to pay. This allows you to fully understand the number and types of potential matches already signed up with the service.
